Met Beach Bungalows, a cozy beachfront boutique guesthouse with only six bungalows, located on Bikini Beach in Thulusdhoo Island, North Malé. A quick 30-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport in Malé, Met offers you direct access to some of the best surf breaks in the Maldives.
Surfing at Your Doorstep
Wake up to the sound of waves and catch a glimpse of two of the most sought-after surf spots in the Maldives—Cokes and Chickens—just 50 meters from your doorstep. Cokes is a high-quality right-hander that you can paddle out to (from right in front of your room, we call it the “warm-up paddle”) or take a short walk to the nearby little island for a quick paddle to the peak. Chickens, a renowned left-hander, is also easily accessible with the 10 USD speedboat transfers. With these world-class breaks so close, you’ll always know the surfing conditions, crowds, current, and tide before you even grab your board.

You can choose between two types of bungalows: superior wooden beachfront bungalows, located slightly away from foot traffic for more privacy, and new deluxe beachfront bungalows with a white interior. Both options offer stunning views and direct beach access, with the superior bungalows offering a bit more seclusion.

Surfing
Thulusdhoo island has its own righthander break, Cokes, during the surf season it is an advanced wave. If you visit on shoulder season or off-season, it can be a bit easier for lower levels.
There are other breaks in the areas, for different levels. Even if you go on the bigger swell months, other breaks that are more sheltered will break.
There are local surf transfers running every day at different times.
Chickens is across the channel, it is a fun left. Ninjas, Sultans, Honkeys, Jails, are other breaks that you can enjoy staying in Thulusdhoo.
Local Island Experience
Thulusdhoo island combines the touristic side with the more traditional experience of Maldives. You can indulge in the local gastronomy or have a pizza or a burger in the tourist venues. We encourage you to experience and support the local community. Some nights you can enjoy life music in some of the venues.
Watersports & Dive Center
Thulusdhoo island offers several Watersports Centers, with activities such as SUP, kayak, catamaran, windsurf, kitesurf, wakeboarding, etc. Even lessons for beginners for windsurf, kitesurf, sailing, etc.
There is a renowned Dive Center you can rent the equipment and they will take you diving to unique spots in the area. Also you can obtain your diving baptism if you have never dived, or your Openwater diving course.
