Named after an Italian bistro that was once located in the same area, this surf spot is described as the “wave-machine” of the North Malé Atoll, due to its consistent wave production, typically 4-6 feet in height.

Surfing at Pasta Point
This ‘wave machine’ is regarded as the best in the North Malé Atoll and has been an internationally premier surf destination since 1992. Get ready for some high quality left hander waves that peel along Pasta Point reef next to this resort in the Maldives. Peak season is experienced between March and October when swells can reach up to four to eight feet.
Other classic breaks – Sultans, Honky’s and Jailbreak – are less than ten minutes away by boat. You can see the waves from the resort, so you will know when they are pumping. When conditions are favorable, you can also try Chickens and Colas (about 45 minutes away) – boats are available all day.

There are many activities available, among which you will find the possibility to discover Maldivian village life on an island-hopping tour, or visit the main island of Male on a shopping-sightseeing trip. If you’d rather dip below the surface, you will be able sign up for a diving course at Cinnamont Dhonveli dive centre, or simply drop in for some leisurely snorkeling.
Mandara Spa
Only the freshest products are used in treatments at this trove of soothing Balinese treatments. The spa is separated into a dedicated reception and retail area, a manicure and pedicure area, three double villas with shower and bath, one double villa with bath and steam, and one double villa with outdoor shower and steam. Try out the traditional face and body treatments, especially the signature Mandara Massage performed by two Spa Therapists.
Dining
At Cinnamon Dhonveli dining options consist of three buffet restaurants and four bars, each with their own range of local and international cuisines, and unique atmosphere.
The open-air Makana Restaurant serves an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For those who like to try the local foods, the Maldivian dishes are highly recommended. Right at the water’s edge, the Raiyvilla Bar, the place to enjoy a fancy cocktail on the open deck as the sun sets on another tropical island day. The Raalhu Bar, overlooking the break at Pasta Point, is the ideal place to watch the action or retreat for a cool beer after a long day in the surf. And you also have the Rehendhi Restaurant and Pool Bar, Koimala Restaurant and the Beach Bar.
